Autoblog has published some new information on the Bugatti 16C Galibier, the four-door that will enter production from 2012. The article includes a set of design sketches and the first impressions on the exterior and interior style.
16C Galibier Concept has had its US premire at a special event in Southern California last week. Autoblog.com has published an interesting article which reports the first impressions on the premium foor-door model, set to be launched in three years with an estimated price of $1.6 million.
The report includes several previously unseen design sketches which underline the main design elements of the car as well as put into evidence the inspiration from the historic Type 57 Atlantic model.
Among the striking features is the attention to every detail, from the sculpted headlamps to the "spine" that runs from the front grille to the rear end , splitting the rear window in two parts and providing a strong link with the Atlantic.
The luxurious cabin is characterized by the four individual bucket seats, the large glazed area and the extensive use of wooden, leather and aluminum trims.
The 16C Galibier is currently in the prototype stage of development. The production model is expected to be powered by the 8.0-liter W-16 unit already found in the Veyron model, coupled with a new 8-speed transmission.
