Chevrolet Camaro wins the 2010 World Car Design of the Year Award

At the 2010 New York Auto Show the Chevrolet Camaro was declared the 2010 World Car Design of the Year. The general, performance and green categories were respectively won by the VW Polo, the Audi R8 V10 and the VW Bluemotion model line-up.

Dodge Viper SRT10 ACR-X

Dodge has started the production of the latest Viper model, the SRT10 ACR-X, a racetrack-only special edition powered by a 8.4 liter V10 engine capable of 640 hp. The company is also launching several special editions to celebrate the final production year of the current-generation Viper.

Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3

Mercedes-Benz has unveiled a GT3 variant of the SLS AMG which complies with the FIA specifications and will be homologated for the 2011 racing season. The special edition marks the entering of AMG in the customers' racing cars market segment. Sales will begin in fall 2010.

VW Polo sedan design preview

Russian Volkswagen has unveiled a design sketch that previews a sedan variant of the Polo compact model. The car will be produced in Russia and will be launched in Asia and other emerging markets with a retail price of about 11,000 Euros.

Hennessey Venom GT

Texas-based Hennessey Performance has released the first official images of its Venom GT supercar. Based upon the Lotus Elise, the Venom GT is powered by a Corvette ZR1-derived V8 engine with up to 1,200 bhp. It will be produced in 10 units per year.
