Hyundai i-flow Concept: updates

Hyundai has released a new rendering and some details on the i-Flow Concept, that will debut at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show on next week. The streamlined body achieves a drag coefficient of 0,25. The production version will feature hybrid diesel powertrain.

Honda 3R-C Concept

The Honda 3R-C Concept is a futuristic three-wheeler single-seater vehicle designed at the company's European R&D facility in Milan. Among the features are the electric drivetrain and the canopy which transforms from a cover into an enveloping windshield.

Honda Odyssey Concept

At the Chicago Auto Show American Honda has unveiled the next-generation Odyssey minivan, which previews the 2011 production model and combines a more dynamic design with enhanced fuel efficiency, interior roominess and versatility.
The exterior design is characterized by the steeply raked front and rear roof pillars, unique side-glass profile, chamfered roof line, and tapered rear cabin shape, which are combined to create a dynamic and distinctive appearance from any perspective.

Mercedes-Benz F800 Style Concept

At the 2010 Geneva Motor Show Mercedes-Benz will unveil the F800 Style Concept.
The 4.8 meters long sedangives the brand's vision for the next generation premium vehicles, which will be focused on efficiency and technology, combined with an emotional look.
The F800 is characterized by a multi drive platform which allows to use two alternative drive systems — a Plug-in Hybrid or a fuel cell.
The car is powered by a V6 direct injection gasoline engine with an output of approximately 220 kW (300 hp) combined with a hybrid module with an output of about 80 kW (109 hp) so that it delivers a total power of around 300 kW (409 hp).

Kia has unveiled a set of design sketches that preview the upcoming Magentis/Optima model, set to debut at the 2010 New York Auto Show. The D-segment sedan will be longer, larger and lower than its predecessor and will have a bold and sporty design.

Jaguar XKR with Speed and Black Pack

For the 2011 XKR model Jaguar has introduced two customization options: the Speed Pack, which increases the maximum speed up to 280 km/h, and the Black Pack, which enhances the visual impact thanks to 20" wheels and matte black exterior details and trims.
The 2011 Model Year XKR features the AJ-V8 Gen III R direct-injection supercharged 5.0-litre engine, which delivers 510PS (510bhp SAE), 625Nm of torque and propels the XKR coupe to 60mph in just 4.6 seconds.
With the optional Speed Pack, the maximum speed of the XKR is raised from 155mph (250km/h) to an electronically limited 174mph (280km/h) thanks to recalibration of the engine management system.

Citroën DS High Rider Concept

Citroën has released the first details on the DS High Rider Concept that will be unveiled at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show. It is the second concept associated with Citroën's innovative and distinctively styled DS line.
The Citroën DS High Rider Concept represents a vision of the future, combining compact dimensions - it is 4.26m long, 1.82m wide & 1.48m high - with generous internal volumes, dynamic performance and sophisticated style.
Unlike traditional 4-seater coupés, with their long, low design, the Citroën DS High Rider Concept is compact and muscular.
Powering the Citroën DS High Rider Concept is an advanced 'Full Hybrid' diesel drivetrain that combines a refined HDi DPFS engine under the hood with an electric motor located on the rear axle.

Bertone Alfa Romeo Pandion Concept preview

After the official release of a teaser sketch, the first images of the upcoming Concept by Bertone have surfaced online and been reported by the media, as well as the name of the car, "Pandion", a genus of birds of prey with a single member, the Osprey, very common in Noth America.
The futuristic and sci-fi-inspired design penned by Jason Castriota has more in common with the creations of the Stile Bertone design studio - the Alfa 8C-based B.A.T. 11 and the Corvette ZR1-based Mantide - rather than with the typical Alfa production sportscars, usually characterized by flowing lines and clean surfaces.
In addition, the futuristic cabin with a 2+2 seating layout and transparent roof have some stylistic reminescences with the historic prototypes designed by Italian designers in the 60s and 70s.
According to the first unofficial information the Pandion Concept is based on the Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione and has a total weight of just 1,000 kg.
The official debut is planned for the 2010 Geneva Motor Show.

Opel Flextreme GT/E Concept

Opel has released the first images of its latest show car: the Flextreme GT/E Concept, a 4.7 meter-long five-door coupé characterized by a futuristic sculpted and aerodynamic design explores a possible evolution of the brand's design language. with a drag coefficient of just 0,22, which contributes to the top speed of 200 km/h.
The car is powered by the E-REV drive system, which features an electric motor with a range of up to 60 km, coupled with a small gasoline engine which acts as a generator and extends the range up to 500 km.
Stand-out visual features include a low and wide stance, wing-shaped lights front and rear, a distinctive nose and grille, floating C-pillars and muscular, sculptured bodywork.
The Opel Flextreme GT/E Concept will make its global debut at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show.

2011 Ford Edge & Edge Sport

At the 2010 Chicago Auto Show Ford has unveiled the facelifted 2011 Edge. A cousin of the updated 2011 Lincoln MKX, the Edge features modified bumpers, a new grille, and restyled lighting units. It will go on sale in summer 2010.
Both the Ford Edge 3.5-liter V-6 and Ford Edge Sport 3.7-liter V-6 use advanced engine valvetrain technology (Twin Independent Variable Camshaft Timing, or Ti-VCT) and control strategies to increase horsepower and torque to more levels.
The 3.5-liter V-6 produces 285 horsepower and 253 ft.-lb. of torque while the 3.7-liter V-6 delivers 305 horsepower and 280 ft.-lb. of torque – all on regular fuel.
Ford Edge’s fuel economy is not at the expense of power and performance. Both engines are mated to a six-speed automatic transmission.
